US Open 2018 leaderboard and tee times – latest golf scores from day one at Shinnecock Hills
The world’s best golfers have gathered on Long Island for the US Open as the year’s second major returns to Shinnecock Hills for the first time since 2004.
Dustin Johnson is favourite to lift the trophy again having won at Oakmont in 2016 and much more recently, last time out at the St Jude Classic in Memphis last weekend.
Only two players – Retief Goosen and Phil Mickelson – finished under par 14 years ago and the field will all be hoping for a fairer test from the USGA this time around.
Mickelson, a US Open runner-up six times, would become just the sixth man to win the career grand slam and complete the set of majors if he finishes top of the pile come Sunday night.
